I’VE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, NOW WHAT DO I DO?

STAY CALM, OFFER ASSISTANCE

  • Make sure everyone’s OK and that no one’s in danger from other traffic. Call 911 if necessary
  • Get full particulars of all other drivers, passengers and witnesses
  • Drivers license numbers, addresses, work and home phone numbers of other drivers
  • Names and phone numbers of insurance companies and policy numbers
  • Take photographs of the accident scene and all vehicles involved if possible, or draw a diagram of the accident scene
  • DO NOT make any oral or written statements with regard to responsibility or blame – it is the claims adjusters responsibility to determine who was at fault
  • Call your Insurance agent as soon as possible, they in turn will inform your insurance
  • If vehicle needs to be towed it can be brought directly to our shop in order to expedite the estimating process (in most cases the towing company will bill us directly)

YOU MUST CALL THE POLICE IF

  • Anyone has been injured
  • Estimated total damage exceeds $1000
  • One of the drivers has committed a traffic offence

YOU HAVE A CHOICE

  • You have the right to go to the body repair shop of your choice
  • By law you are only required to get one estimate, and as a direct repair facility for most major insurance companies, we are equipped to facilitate the process with minimum inconvenience
